It sure is confusing being Megan Fox. The 23-year-old brunette beauty has just been crowned the world's sexiest woman – and worst actress – in an online poll.

Fox rocketed herself to pin-up fame two years ago with one sizzling-hot shot in the first Transformers movie.

All she had to do was pull on a crop top, lean over the bonnet of a car, open her mouth a little and let her long hair blow all over the place and the deal was done.

Fox has since admitted her acting was rubbish in Transformers, telling Entertainment Weekly: "It's my first real movie and it's not honest and not realistic.

"The movie wasn't bad – I just wasn't proud about what I did."

But according to voters on the moviefone.com poll, Fox needed a few more acting classes before heading into the sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. This week she won the worst actress of 2009 gong for her performance in that flick, ahead of Twilight's Kristen Stewart and Beyonce Knowles in the thriller Obsessed.

Competition for the sexiest woman title was not so stiff, it seems. Fox was up against Sandra Bullock, of all people, and Star Trek's Zoe Saldana.

But don't get your hopes up, boys: Fox has already vowed never to strip off for the silver screen.

"Ugh, never! That's the last thing I want to see – what I look like having sex.

"It would take one shot of me not looking good and I would not be able to have sex ever again, as I would always just see myself looking like a hippo having sex."

Fox's new titles will no doubt prompt yet more comparisons with that other sultry brunette, Angelina Jolie, who has racked up her share of worst, but hottest actress awards.

Like Jolie, Fox has discussed bisexual flings, has numerous tattoos and appears in action movies.

Fox and Jolie were this year rumoured to be warring over the role of Lara Croft in a third Tomb Raider movie, which is tipped to be in the works.

Playing Lara in the first two movies was Jolie's ticket to the big-time, and Fox has already conceded the catfight:

"I'm sure she has no idea who I am. But if I were her, I'd be like, 'Who the f*** is this little bullshit brat who was in Transformers that's going to be the next me?"'

Like Fox, the second Transformers movie had bizarre results in the poll, picking up the title for best action movie of the year, but worst movie overall.
