Brittany Murphy fired from an upcoming film that was shooting in Puerto Rico for being difficult on set and a detriment to production.

The former Clueless star has been dogged by reports that she was fired from The Caller, with reasons ranging from “she was difficult on set” to “her husband fought with the locals in Puerto Rico.” But while Murphy did leave the project, the 32-year-old’s publicist denied that the decision had anything to do with bad behavior.

“The allegations currently circulating on the Internet about Brittany Murphy and her husband, Simon Monjack, read like a fictional plot from one of the 50 plus movies Ms. Murphy has successfully completed without incident,” the rep told OK! Magazine.

Brittany Murphy“She was not, nor has she ever been, fired from any job big or small. Mr. Monjack did not engage in any alleged scuffles. Though due to creative differences, Ms. Murphy and the production mutually parted ways.

Production on The Caller didn’t suffer for long: Producers quickly brought in former Twilight actress Rachelle Lefevre to take over the part. And something tells us Lefevre will do everything in her power to not get fired.
